About Vectera

Vectera is a Belgian SaaS product that’s been around for 8 years, with a loyal customer base and stable revenue. We’re a small, pragmatic product team based in Ghent, focused on building powerful yet intuitive meeting tools — from scheduling to video calls, and soon AI-powered summaries.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who’s comfortable working across the stack, with a strong leaning towards front-end. Someone who enjoys taking features from concept to production and thrives in small, high-trust teams.

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join us on our mission

As a Software Engineer at Teamleader:

  • Take ownership of features from idea to implementation — across the stack.

  • Work on modernising our codebase, improving performance, structure, and usability.

  • Develop new, high-impact features (e.g., AI-powered meeting summaries).

  • Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of developers, a QA analyst, and a product manager.

  • Help shape technical decisions and best practices as we evolve the platform.

Contribute to a culture of trust, autonomy, and getting-things-done.

Our Tech Stack

We value adaptability over buzzword bingo — but here’s what we use today:

  • Frontend: Angular (TypeScript), legacy AngularJS, WebSockets

  • Backend: Django, Django REST Framework

  • Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis

  • Tooling: GitHub, Jira, Slack, and a pragmatic Scrum approach

Why others chose Teamleader: we're lively, not corporate

We have the energy and boldness of a start-up and the expertise and pragmatism of a scale-up. The result: a team of both young and seasoned professionals led by supportive and approachable managers who give recognition and rewards for hard work. You’ll be working in a fast-paced tech environment with open feedback culture and room for initiatives as well as ideas. You’ll have plenty of room to apply your personality, express yourself, and impact our course of action with your insights or ideas.

On top of that, you’ll get:

  • An extensive training budget.

  • A hybrid working model: a pleasant mix of office and home working.

  • A personal tooling budget, to make working from home as comfortable as from our offices.

  • Daily budget-friendly in-house prepared lunch and dinner options, as well as Friyays and numerous sport initiatives!

  • Competitive and market-conform salary with compensations and benefits.

  • 32 holidays on top of the standard public ones! (based on full-time employment).

  • Our long-lasting dedication to employee well-being, just take a look at our career page and Instagram to see how we keep the Team(leader) spirit going.

We value diversity

Our ambition is to build and sell a product that helps everyone everywhere (starting with Europe) to work smarter, so we want our team to reflect that. We believe that a diverse, inclusive working environment is crucial to realise that ambition, so we’re committed to continue to build and cherish a culture where every colleague feels welcome, appreciated and heard.

Job requirements

You’d be a great fit for this role, if you:

  • Have 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, ideally in SaaS or product teams.

  • Are confident working on both front-end and back-end tasks, with a preference for front-end work.

  • Can navigate and improve a legacy codebase without fear — structure and clean-up are part of the job.

  • Prefer small teams with low red tape and high impact.

  • Enjoy solving user problems with simple, maintainable solutions.

  • Communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with teammates and stakeholders.

  • Are fluent in English (Dutch is a bonus, not a must).
