  • Scope: Quality Advisor with established experience in Quality Assurance methodologies, particularly emphasizing on "shift-left" practices with a proven track record of closely collaborating with Engineering, Product and Design teams
  • Level: Senior
  • Location: Ghent, Belgium (Hybrid with 2-3 days per week working at our office in Ghent)

We're looking for a QA Advisor to join us on our mission

As a Senior QA Advisor at Teamleader, your responsibilities are:

  • Strategic Collaboration: Create & maintain partnerships with product managers and development teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of product requirements and delivery timelines.

  • Shift-Left Advocacy: Lead the charge in promoting and implementing "shift-left" practices across multiple development teams, emphasizing early detection and prevention of defects throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Quality Assurance: Provide expert guidance in the development teams and execution of QA strategies, test plans, and test cases, ensuring the highest standards of quality & reliability are upheld in every release.

  • Cross-Functional: Act as a bridge between QA, product, 2nd line support and delivery teams, excellent communication, collaboration, and alignment of objectives to drive the successful release of high-quality software.

  • Process Enhancement: Continuously evaluate and enhance QA processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability across the organisation.

  • Test Automation Expertise: Champion test automation initiatives, collaborating with delivery teams to implement robust automation frameworks and strategies that accelerate release cycles without compromising quality.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with software releases, working closely with stakeholders to implement proactive measures that safeguard product integrity and customer satisfaction.

  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of QA processes and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Job requirements

You'd be a great fit for this role, if you have:

  • At least 6-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on SaaS platforms and Agile development methodologies (continuous delivery).

  • Proven expertise in "shift-left" practices and a demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with product and development teams to drive quality outcomes.

  • Strong technical skills, with expertise in software testing principles, techniques, and tools, including test automation frameworks.

  • Experience with test-management tools ( AIO, Testrail, X-Ray ), automated end-to-end test frameworks ( Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, ... )

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experienced in stakeholder-management.

  • Experienced with web technology, applications and services (e.g. HTML, REST, AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, selectors, JSON, Typescript, PHP, …).

  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS), containerisation (e.g., Docker ), analytics ( Datadog ) and scripting ( Python, TypeScript ) are a bonus.
