Who are we and why should you care?

Teamleader is a SaaS scale-up born in 2012 in Ghent, Belgium, and part of the Visma Group since 2022. Our mission? To make work easier, not harder, for small and medium-sized businesses.

Here’s what we bring to the table:

  • Teamleader Focus: the all-in-one tool that helps small businesses optimise CRM, projects, and invoicing.

  • Teamleader One: the go-to e-invoicing software that self-employed pros can count on.

We’ve also been growing smarter through strategic acquisitions:

  • Teamleader Orbit (2019): helping medium-sized agencies thrive and scale.

  • Vectera (2022): powering seamless customer meetings.

  • Dexxter (2024): making financial admin a breeze for freelancers.

We Are Looking for a Head of Product to Join us

Teamleader Focus is the work management platform that thousands of small and medium-sized businesses in Belgium and the Netherlands run their day on: quotes, projects, time, invoices, customer relationships. It is a product with real usage, real revenue and real opinions attached to it.

Two reasons to join Teamleader now: AI has collapsed the cost of building software, so the constraint has moved from engineering capacity to judgment about what actually deserves to exist. And we have just launched Focus AI, our first assistant inside the product, which opens up value we simply could not deliver before. The next few years of Focus are genuinely unwritten, and you would be the one holding the pen.

You will own the product strategy and roadmap for Focus, and you will lead a team of experienced product managers who already know their craft. Your job is not to supervise them. It is to set a course sharp enough that they can move fast without checking in, and to raise the bar on how modern product management is practised here.

The role comes with a lot of autonomy and a seat where Teamleader's direction gets decided. You will be measured on outcomes for customers and for the business, not on the number of features shipped. Teamleader is part of the Visma group, which gives you the stability of a large European software portfolio and the pace of a company still small enough to change its mind quickly.

What you will do

  • Own the strategy and the roadmap. Translate company objectives into an outcome-driven roadmap that drives commercial growth, and decide just as deliberately what we will not build. Protecting focus is the job.

  • Be the voice of the customer. Lead discovery from problem statement to solution definition so the team solves real customer problems instead of processing a request queue, and keep a healthy balance between discovery and delivery.

  • Decide on evidence, not assumptions. Build business cases for what you propose, track usage, adoption, churn and revenue impact, and change course when the data says you should.

  • Lead the team through the AI shift. Use the velocity that AI-enabled engineering unlocks to deliver more value rather than more features. Guide the team's learning curve and actively change how the work gets done instead of waiting for new ways of working to emerge.

  • Maximise the impact of Focus AI. Get the most out of our newest launch and help shape where the assistant goes next.

  • Coach and grow the team. Hire and develop a team of experienced and junior PMs, strengthen the culture of ownership, autonomy and craft, and lead by example rather than by process.

  • Align the company around the plan. Be the connective tissue between Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success, and make sure everyone is pulling in the same direction.

  • You will report to the VP Engineering

Why others chose Teamleader: we're lively, not corporate

We have the energy and boldness of a start-up and the expertise and pragmatism of a scale-up. The result: a team of both young and seasoned professionals led by supportive and approachable managers who give recognition and rewards for hard work. You’ll be working in a fast-paced tech environment with open feedback culture and room for initiatives as well as ideas. You’ll have plenty of room to apply your personality, express yourself, and impact our course of action with your insights or ideas.

On top of that, you’ll get:

  • An extensive training budget.

  • A hybrid working model: a pleasant mix of office and home working.

  • A personal tooling budget, to make working from home as comfortable as from our offices.

  • Daily budget-friendly in-house prepared lunch and dinner options (only in our Ghent office), as well as Friyays and numerous sport initiatives!

  • 32 holidays on top of the standard public ones! (based on full-time employment).

  • Our long-lasting dedication to employee well-being, just take a look at our career page and Instagram to see how we keep the Team(leader) spirit going.

We value diversity

Our ambition is to build and sell a product that helps everyone everywhere (starting with Europe) to work smarter, so we want our team to reflect that. We believe that a diverse, inclusive working environment is crucial to realise that ambition, so we’re committed to continue to build and cherish a culture where every colleague feels welcome, appreciated and heard.

Job requirements

What you bring:

  • At least 8 years in product management, including several years leading and developing product managers directly.

  • A track record in B2B SaaS, ideally in SMB or mid-market with a self-serve or low-touch motion.

  • Ownership of a roadmap tied to commercial results. You can talk concretely about revenue, retention and adoption you moved, not just features you launched.

  • Strong discovery craft. You practise continuous discovery and modern product management well enough to coach it, not just describe it.

  • Genuine fluency with AI in product work. You use the tools yourself, you have a view on what changes when engineering gets faster, and you can bring a team along.

  • Comfort with data. You dig into product analytics yourself and build the business case rather than waiting for someone to hand you one.

  • Credibility with executives and commercial teams. You make trade-offs visible and defensible, and you hold the line when it matters.

  • Fluent English. Dutch is a strong plus given our core markets.

The best product leaders we know are opinionated and still curious. If you recognise yourself in that, we should talk.
