UX Designer

Job description

Looking for a talented UX Designer to join us on our mission

Teamleader is a Belgian SaaS scale-up founded 10 years ago, with offices in Ghent and Amsterdam. We’re on a mission to become the #1 work management software in Europe. Our products (Teamleader Focus and Teamleader Orbit) help service businesses to manage and stay in control of their business. We’ve grown rapidly over the years and now more than 12K SMEs use Teamleader on a daily basis to sell, bill and organize their work.

Central to our product vision is the transition to a more seamless and intuitive user experience. We’re looking for an experienced UX Designer to join our product team and take this experience to the next level.

As a UX Designer you will …

  • work in one of our dedicated teams with a product manager & several engineers to identify and solve hard problems – user problems and business problems – in ways that our user love, yet work for our business

  • run the end-to-end design process (design thinking 101) and provide the necessary context to the team about the user needs, workflows & usability challenges

  • manage uncertainty and risk by pragmatically performing user research

  • gather both quantitative and qualitative insights, by directly interacting with customers and prospects and by collaborating with product analysts and customer facing colleagues

  • perform competitive benchmarking to understand industry standards and how we can differentiate

  • translate all these inputs into design solutions that are intuitive and of high usability standards. In this phase you play a key role in reducing complexity

  • validate these solutions, both internally with stakeholders (CS, Sales, Marketing, etc) and externally through testing or interacting with users in a beta process

  • take part in the delivery process to ensure your solutions get refined, implemented and delivered

  • closely measure usage and follow-up on customer feedback so you understand the impact of your work and come up with recommendations for further iterations

Perks of working at Teamleader

  • Ahoy! a mature and ever-evolving design system

  • A liberal training budget to spend as you choose

  • A personal tooling budget, to make working from home as comfortable as it is in our offices

  • Daily budget-friendly lunch and dinner, as well as Free Food Friday and Cava Demo Day now we’re ready to welcome you at our offices again

  • Our dedication to employee wellbeing, just take a look at our Instagram to see how we keep the Team(leader)-spirit going, even remote

  • An ecological transportation budget whenever you choose to work from the office

  • A competitive salary… but that goes without saying

We value diversity

Our ambition is to build a product that helps everyone everywhere (but starting with Europe) to work smarter, so we want our team to reflect that. We believe that a diverse, inclusive working environment is crucial to realise that ambition, so we’re committed to continue to build and cherish a culture where every colleague feels welcome, appreciated and heard.

Requirements

You would be a great fit for this role, if you …

  • have 3+ years of relevant design experience, ideally in B2B/B2C SaaS, enterprise software or within a digital product agency
  • can showcase concrete examples of your end-to-end design process on a feature, product or project and the resulting impact on the user or business
  • have strong communication, storytelling and presentation skills. Able to convince different audiences and on all levels, including peers and stakeholders
  • make decisions at a high pace based on the right balance of judgment, user insight and data. Smartly performing research when needed
  • are able to learn from and collaborate with multiple departments
  • are familiar with design systems and component libraries and are able to use and contribute to them
  • can work independently and handle accountability well
  • have the ability and personality to successfully work in a high-pace, rapidly-changing environment. You're resilient and can deal with ambiguity
  • are fluent in both written and spoken English
