Senior UX Designer

Job description

Since we were founded in Ghent back in 2012, Teamleader has been helping small and medium businesses to work smarter. Our all-in-one platform guides more than 10.000 companies throughout Europe from scoring clients to getting paid & everything inbetween and we’re still growing at rocket speed. Our ambitions are impressive, adventurous and a little bit crazy… just like the people we are looking for to join us on this rollercoaster ride.

Our customers have always been front and center at Teamleader. But where at the start our founders knew every single customer (and their family) personally, we’ve now built a band of product designers to scale up our user centered approach and we’re looking for a new UX designer to join the fold.

Our UX’ers can deliver the first step today of our vision for tomorrow and they know it takes a team to get there, with our customers as the guiding light. They don’t only make the complex elegantly simple, they manage to champion a UX mindset & methodology  along the way. UX designers at Teamleader work together with all dev teams, designing consistency across the Teamleader modules.

What you'll be doing

  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, Content Strategists and customer-facing colleagues to define problems & goals, map user flows & journeys, ideate concepts, prototype interactions and launch new products and services across Teamleader modules

  • Identify assumptions and coordinate internal & external, qualitative & quantitative efforts to gather these missing insights in a pragmatic way

  • Collaborate with the product team to drive product strategy and feed the development roadmap

  • Give and solicit feedback from colleagues throughout the organisation (including C-level)

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as with end-to-end product design (e.g. as UX designer)

  • Deep understanding of and experience with Lean/Agile UX and product design processes

  • Hands-on experience planning, preparing and running user research and user testing

  • Data-driven and experienced in leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data to inform your design decisions

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by tackling ambiguity deliberately & efficiently

  • Shipped a consumer or B2B product

  • Cross-platform interaction design experience (web, iOS, Android)

  • Excellent communication skills and understanding of how to best articulate design decision to a multitude of (internal/external) stakeholders

  • Experience with tools such as Sketch, Figma, InVision, Marvel, Zeplin… and a favourite plug-in

  • Simply love technology, understand its potential and its limitations - knowledge of HTML, JavaScript & CSS is a plus

  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English - Dutch (or West-Flemish) is a plus
