Job description

  • Role: Growth Marketing Manager for the Belgian market
  • Level: Medior
  • Location: Ghent, Belgium
  • Timing: January 2023

Who are we and why should you care?

Teamleader is a SaaS scale-up founded in 2012 in Ghent, Belgium. With Teamleader Focus we simplify work for small businesses by offering an all-in-one solution for CRM, project management and invoicing. We're looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to join us on our mission.

As our Growth Marketing Manager for Belgium, you own the marketing strategy and execution plan for our home market, for both of our product lines: Teamleader Focus and Teamleader Orbit. The primary goals of this position are to increase awareness, expand/convert interest, and build a pipeline. You will work closely with the sales and marketing team to execute events and demand-generation programs. It’s a broad job, but you can rely on a team of talented peers to support you in planning and delivering your marketing mix across Brand & PR, website, SEA, SEO, media, virtual and offline events. You will be the single point of contact for all things Belgian Marketing, and function in close collaboration with our Dutch and French Growth Marketing Managers.

What we offer

A challenging role in a well-funded European software scale-up, with strong growth ambitions and excellent company culture.

Role responsibilities:

  • Own the marketing plan for Belgium, including strategy, budgets, stakeholder management, and reporting. You’ll localize the company’s marketing strategy to a local strategy together with business stakeholders, and turn that into a workable action plan.

  • As a key member of our Growth Team, you will own our growth targets for the Belgian market.

  • Overseeing the entire marketing mix for Belgium, you will either guide experts (in-house or within our agency teams) or take ownership yourself.

  • You are in charge of the local distribution for the Belgian market. This includes:
    • Making sure the website and blog are in line with the strategy and look perfect.

    • Exploring local partnerships and aligning with internal stakeholders on how to get the most out of them.

    • Being the SPOC for our PR agency and following up on PR activities.

    • Informing and advising the brand team on which local media are interesting, and after consultation with the brand team, actually make the media agreements. Next to that, the local marketeer will also function as the SPOC for the local media and follow up on all agreements and execution.

    • Bringing interesting events to the attention of the event manager, and providing local context to help him make decisions. You help the event manager with execution and communication when necessary.

    • Owning the social media calendar for Belgium. You make sure all the content is provided in time and create the posts on the different social platforms.

    • Providing local input and feedback (e.g. coming from sales) to the HQ marketing teams in order for the right content to be created.

  • You build acquisition campaigns together with the website, SEO, Paid Social, SEA and email Marketing teams. You’re the local point of contacts for these campaigns.

  • Together with the data team you optimize the performance of local channels, and how the budget is being spent.

  • You report back to business stakeholders on the performance of the local market (including forecast, lead quality based on both qualitative and quantitative data.)

Why others choose Teamleader: we're lively, not corporate

We have the energy and boldness of a start-up and the expertise and pragmatism of a scale-up. The result: a team of both young and seasoned professionals led by supportive and approachable managers who give recognition and rewards for hard work. You’ll be working in a fast-paced tech environment with open feedback culture and room for initiatives and ideas. You will have plenty of room to apply your personality, express yourself, and impact our course of action with your insights and ideas.

On top of that, you’ll get:

  • An extensive training budget to facilitate your professional development.

  • A hybrid working model, a pleasant mix of office work and home working. Find out more here.

  • A personal tooling budget, to make working from home as comfortable as it is in our offices.

  • Daily budget-friendly in-house prepared lunch and dinner options, as well as Free Food Fridays and Cava Fridays.

  • Competitive and market-conform salary and compensation and benefits, including company car or other mobility options (electrical step, bike,...)

  • A 40-hour workweek, meaning: 32 holidays in total!

  • Our long-lasting dedication to employee wellbeing, just take a look at our career page and Instagram to see how we keep the Team(leader) spirit going.

We value diversity

Our ambition is to build and sell a product that helps everyone everywhere (starting with Europe) to work smarter, so we want our team to reflect that. We believe that a diverse, inclusive working environment is crucial to realise that ambition, so we’re committed to continue to build and cherish a culture where every colleague feels welcome, appreciated and heard.

Requirements

You would be a great fit for this role, if you...

  • Have 2-4 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in B2B;

  • Have proven experience overseeing a full marketing mix, including resource planning, vendor management and reporting;

  • Are flexible and happy in working across teams, tasks and skill sets; able to jump from business to creative, from virtual to offline, from revenue source analysis to new feature release plan.

  • Bring strategy to execution; enthusiastic about developing the plan, and doing the work to drive results. You are hands-on and understand that value is created in driving execution and outcomes.

  • Are used to operating common marketing technology systems, e.g. Hubspot, Jira, webinar/podcast systems, Social Media, ...

  • Have great communication skills; able to articulate product and solution information in the context of customer problems and business values.

  • Have strong project management skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

  • You’re able to communicate fluently in English and Dutch. French or German is a big plus.
